Death
Funeral services for Oakkee Joshua Furr, 82, a life long resident of the Barren Ridge community, will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon from the Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren. His pastor, the Rev. Norman L. Harsh will conduct the services; assisted by the Rev. W. Paul Coffman and burial will be in the Barren Ridge Cemetery. The body now rests at the Koontz Funeral Chapel at Weyers Cave where it will remain until 8:45 Friday morning when it will be taken to his late home. His body will be removed to the Church at one o'clock Friday to remain until the hour of the service. The relatives will meet at his late home at 2:05 Friday for a brief service prior to leaving for the Church. Active pallbearers will be H. T. Clark, J. F. Clark, Cyrus W. Furr, Robert Nelson Furr, Raymond Furr, Ernest Lee Furr, Johnny E. Furr, and Charles Everly; honorary, Clarence Caricofe, Harry Caricofe, Harry Earl Crickenberger, Roy Paxton, Bernard White Jr., Henry J. Quick, Darrell Early, Ira Staples, John W. Gilbert, O. W.
