Death
The funeral of Mrs. Nannie Carr Furr, wife of Boyd A. Furr, was held yesterday at 11 a. m. from the Grace Lutheran church, Waynesboro, where she had been a life-long member. The Rev. Dr. Charles F. Steck conducted the services. The active pallbearers were Gordon McCune, George Rosenberger, Harold Judy, Ralph Clark, L. P. Foster, S. J. Gilbert; honorary, ay Myers, Carl Hall, Kenneth Whitlock, Gordon D. Walter and Carl Sanger. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. Mrs. Furr was born Nov. 25, 1901, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Carr, of Fishersville, where she resided. She was married Nov. 12, 1925. Mrs. Furr was very popular and leaves a large circle of friend, who join the bereaved family in their sorrow. She leaves her husband and eight old son, beside her parents; brother C. O. Carr, and sister, Mrs. R. F. Gilbert, of Staunton, and Mrs. S. E. Hankey, of Fishersville. Burial was in Riverview cemetery.The Daily News Leader, Staunton, Virginia, January 21, 1927
