September 11, 1910 "Hettie May Furr, wife of Charles F. Furr, died last evening. She was seventy years of age and is survived by her husband and four children, all residing in Lincoln with the exception of Albert R. Furr of Stockham, Neb. The funeral will be held from the home, 934 C street."

1912 Lincoln " Ells F. Furr, recently sued for divorce in district court on grounds of cruelty by Charles S. Furr, was granted a temporary restraining order by Judge Cosgrave Tuesday, which forbids Mr. Furr from removing the household goods from their homo at 834 C street, from shutting off the water or light supply or from molesting or harrassing his wife in any manner. Mrs. Furr alleges that she is confined to her bed from the effects of a recent operation and that her husband is threatening to do her great bodily injury, in removing the household goods and will remove all except the bed upon which the applicant lies unless he is restrained. Mrs. Furr avers that he has already shut off the gas and water supply and wants him enjoined from removing the kitchen stove. It is her allegation that he is annoying her in her helpless condition in order to force her to let him obtain the divorce without a contest. Mr. Furr is about 61 years of age; his wife about 45. They have been married a year."

February 5, 1933 Lincoln "Charles S. Furr, 84, died Saturday near Sterling, Colo. He is survived by four children; Albert, of Sterling; and Archie, Mrs. D. M. Barr and Mrs. Eugene Mettee, all of Lincoln. The body will be brought to Lincoln for funeral services and burial in Wyuka in charge of Hodgmans."

July 29, 1953 "Services for Mrs. Ora Barr, 65, 529 So. 14, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roper and Sons Chapel, Dr. Frank A. Court officiating. Burial will be in Crete. Mrs. Barr, who lived in Lincoln a11 her life, died here Monday. A member of Trinity Methodist Church, she was employed at the Maynard Mills Agency, and was formerly connected to Simon's Magee's and The Lincoln Star. Survivors are a son, Charles Barr, and a daughter, Mrs. Wade Hilligoss, both of Lincoln; a brother, Archie Furr of Lincoln; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Mettee of Los Angeles, Calif., and three grandchildren."
