Curcheville Charles FURR
(May 9, 1836 - August 13, 1895)
Curcheville married Nancy Jane in Henry County, Indiana, and then they started west to Monmouth, Illinois, to Iowa, and finally to Nebraska where Nancy died. After Curcheville married a second time to Augusta Hooper, he had been kicked by a horse and never recovered. He later died from stomach cancer. While he was very sick he wanted badly to go home and they started to travel across the country and went to Missouri where several of his children settled. They remained there a short while and leaving some of the children with the families in Missouri, they went back home to Monmouth where Curcheville died. He is buried in the Monmouth Cemetery. Grace and Frances were left with family to be raised in Missouri when Gussie went back to Nebraska and later in time Frances disappeared. Grace remained in Missouri and married Ira Blann.
