Death
Gladys B. Furr, 98, Meridian Cardinal Nursing Home, South Bend, died at 10:35 a.m. September 27, 1991, at St. Joe Medical Center, South Bend. She was born August 7, 1893, in Veedersburg, the daughter of Ira and Susanne Fine Boggs. She was married January 4, 1914 in Veedersburg to Omer E. Furr. He preceded in death in 1970. She was a member of the First Christian Church of South Bend and the Order of Eastern Star, LaPorte. Surviving, are: one daughter, Eleanor K. Rectenwal, South Bend; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a niece, Dorothy Songer and a nephew, Charles Boggs, both of Veedersburg. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, South Bend."Star Tribune, October 1, 1991
