Richard Bobby Emory Sr.

Mr. Bobby Emory, 85, of Hamburg, died Friday, July 27, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Emory was a native and life long resident of Hamburg. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1944 and he was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II. He was the Service Manager for several automobile dealerships for 61 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church for 74 years. He was an avid supporter of the Hamburg Athletic Program and he was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Janelle Chadwick Emory in 2007; a son, Richie Emory in 2001; his parents, Oscar & Mayme Shockley Emory; a brother, Fred Emory in 2001 and a sister, Bernice Locke in 2007.
He is survived by his children, Susan Smith of Hamburg, Freddie Emory and wife, Ann, of Cleveland, Texas; Kayla Rabb and husband, Brian of Hamburg and Dayla Zieman and husband, Sam, of Spring, Texas, 15 grandchildren, Genia Emory Browning, Heather Emory Smith, Trey Emory, Richard Smith, Sarah Jane Smith Murphy, Hope Stansel Morris, Lisa Stansel Tanner, Matthew Emory, Gregory Stansel, Lindsey Emory, Ben Rabb, Brad Rabb, Mary Katherine Zieman, Anna Zieman and Margaret Zieman; 18 great-grandchildren, John David Browning, Richie Browning, Bailey Smith, Cassidy Smith, Nicolas Smith, Grant Smith, Logan Smith, Emma Murphy, Eli Honea, Smith Murphy, Liam Murphy, Kaiden Stansel, Jackson Stansel, Cameron Emory, Bryce Emory, Emory Morris, Riley Morris and Alex Tanner.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Hamburg with Dr. Bobby Pennington Rev. Trey Emory and Rev. Doug Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Smith, Matthew Emory, Trey Emory, Ben Rabb, Brad Rabb and Grant Smith. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Carl Locke & J.W. Hall Sunday School Classes of the First Baptist Church and the Holt Auto Group Employees. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 352, Hamburg, AR 71646 or the Hamburg High School Scholarship Fund, PO Box 30, Hamburg, AR 71646 or the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church Special Projects Fund, 765 Ashley 70 Road, Hamburg, AR 71646.
