Beatrice "Bea" Emory Locke, age 97, of Crossett, AR passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2007. She was born June 16, 1910 to her late parents, Oscar E. and Mayme Shockley Emory in Hamburg, AR. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Locke was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. "Pill" Locke, and one brother, Fred Emory.
Survivors include one son, Ed Locke and wife, Jane of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Billie Burnette of Montevallo, AL; Sue Jasper and husband, John of Lufkin, TX; one brother, Bobby Emory of Hamburg, AR; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Pennington and Bro. John Jasper Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Hamburg Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.
Visitation on Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
