(26 Nov 1907 - 8 Jul 1994)
Rosa Aurora Smith Spray, 86, of Matador, passed away on Friday, July 8, 1994 at the Plainview Methodist Hospital.
The daughter of Edward Dixon Smith and Sarah Elizabeth Pledger Smith, Rosa was born Nov. 26, 1907, in Hill County, Texas. The family moved to the Whiteflat Community in Motley County in 1917. She graduated from Whiteflat High School in 1924. Rosa married Agle Lee "Jack" Spray on the 26th of October 1929 in Hobart, Oklahoma. They began their life together among the many adversities of the Great Depression but with faith and hard work they persevered.
