His first wife was Mary Lee Weakley. To this union were born two children; a son, Walter Edward, and a daughter Mary Lee. His first wife died in child birth. His second marriage was to Mary Magdaline "Anna" Holimon. To this union were born six children; Thomas Fulton, Jr., Edmond Campbell, Louis Carlton, Ralph Gustavis, Lois Janet and Mollie Elizabeth.
Thomas was employed a short time as a mill wright in Baghdad, Florida. Upon returning to Crossett, Arkansas he became a mill wright for the Crossett Lumber and Paper Industry. He owned land in the Crossett and Hamburg area and he and his family farmed the land until his death.
He was the son of Dr. Edmund Taylor Brantley and Sarah Jane Langston.
He is buried next to his first wife.
