In June 1996, Carol Petranek went to Mystra and found the Eftaxas family listed in the town records.
Cousin Peggy Kostakos took us to meet Niki, who lives with her son , Andrew.
She was very excited to meet us. She remembered the names of my mother and he r siblings
and asked about each of them. She and John live in the house that Andrew's father, John, built. They are farmers and appear to be quite poor.
Niki's father's name is Georgios Kakaletres and he is from Mystra.

Niki's nickname was 'ftaxou, which is a shortened version of Eftaxias. A comment on the Mystras FB page: FTAXOU ONE OF THE GREATEST WOMEN TO PASS THROUGH MYSTRA WE MISS HER

Note on Facebook Mystras page from Joanne Dimis-Dimitrakakis on October 31, 2011. I had inquired about trying to put together a family tree on the Kakaletris family and this was her response: Joanne Dimis-Dimitrakakis3:57am Oct 31
