Moses lived for a time in Franklin Co. IL. then moved to Iowa with his family in 1871. He located his farm southeast of Yale. In 1893, they moved into Yale and lived there the rest of their lives. They were members of the Church of the Brethren, deacon, and Moses was elected to the ministry in 1905. He held many revivals, officiated at many marriages and funerals.
