Henry DIERDORFF

Henry lived and worked his father's farm until he was apprenticed to a blacksmith for one year, then he returned to farming. After marriage, he and his wife left PA. for Lee Co., IL. with a party of Dunkards being led by Jacob Myers. The group located near Franklin Grove, Lee Co., IL. where Henry purchased 160 acres. Henry supported his family by his farming operations. Both he and his wife united with the Dunkards in 1853, Rock River Congregation. Henry was elected a deacon in 1868 and served faithfully until his death.
