Death
Mrs. Fannie Belle Furr, 75, of Padgett community was an area resident for 61 years. She was the widow of Adam Furr, prominent Young County landholder and farmer, who died in 1958. Serviced were held Wednesday from the First Methodist Church in Olney with Rev. Glen C. Bowman, pastor officiating. Survivors: one daughter - Miss Adelle Furr of Padgitt; two sons - Ellis Furr, Grover Furr; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers - Sam Smith, Lawrence Smith, Grove Smith, Jess Smith.The Newcastle Register, October 21, 1964
