Death
Mrs. Margaret Furr Smith, 70, of Charlotte died Nov. 28, 1993, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eastway Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at McEwen Funeral Home, Mint Hill chapel. Ms. Smith, a Charlotte native, was a retired telephone answering service operator and a member of McQuay Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was a member of American Business Women’s Association and a resident of Charlotte Health Care. Survivors are her sons, Thomas Smith Jr. of Raleigh, Larry Smith of Huntersville, Daryl Smith; daughters, Mrs. Sherry Hill, Mrs. Jacqueline Callihan, both of Mint Hill, Mrs. Pamela Allen; brothers, Jimmy Furr, Herman Furr; sisters, Mrs. Jean Ballandingham of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Mrs. Faye Williams of Indian Trail, Mrs. Charlotte Darby of Georgia, Mrs. Nancy Wilson of Mint Hill.
