Death
Services for Lula Hilton, age 78 of Winnsboro, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Rosewood Baptist Church in Gilmer with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Mrs. Hilton died Monday, August 28, 2017 at her son’s residence in Wylie. She was born in Vernon on May 17, 1939 to the late James Melburn and Pinkie Parlee (Duty) Furr. Mrs. Hilton was formerly of Hitchcock, Texas before moving to East Texas in 1994. She was a longtime employee of the Hitchcock ISD, where she worked as an attendance clerk. She later worked for the Walmart in Gilmer. Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 6 sisters.Endnotes
