Death
LINDALE -— Services for Mrs. J.M. Furr, 74, Lindale, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home chapel in Lindale with the Rev. Gale Galloway and the Rev. Gary Dinger officiating. Burial will be in Lindale City Cemetery. Mrs. Furr died Saturday evening in a Tyler hospital after a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 25, 1906, in the Oklahoma Territory, and before moving to Lindale 29 years ago she lived in Vernon. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Lindale and was a housewife. Survivors include three sons, Gerald Furr, Dallas, Richard Furr, Freeport, and Donald Furr of U.S. Navy; six daughters, Mrs. Iowene Harmon and Mrs. Mary Hilburn, both of Lindale, Mrs. Zoe Yocum, Wills Point, Mrs. Joy England, Enice, N.M., Mrs. Wanda Wilson, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Lula Hilton, Hitchcock; 28 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard England, Dewey Longino, Mike Wilson, David Provan, Jim-Provan and Phillip Provan. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Wood and Tommy Adcox.Endnotes
