Death
Mrs. Mary Fink ‘"Mollie" Furr, age 90, of 510 West John Street, Matthews passed away Saturday, January 19, 1974 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday, January 21, 1974 Matthews United Methodist Church with Rev. William B. Bobbit, Jr. Pastor officiating. Interment will be in the Matthews cemetery. Mrs. Furr was born March 16, 1883 in Stanley County, daughter of the late John Wilson and Evie Heintz Fink. She was a member of Matthews United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ethel F. Hartis of Matthews; two sons, James C. Furr of Monroe, Mrs. F. Furr of Wilmington; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Dry of Albemarle; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. Family requests memorials to the Matthews United Methodist Church.
