Death

Patricia Furr McCann, age 70, of 282 Forest Dr., Pelham, N.C., passed away on Saturday, October 08, 2016, at her son, David's residence, 1496 Hunters Lane, Lot#29 Blairs, Va. She was born on October 25, 1945, in Danville, Va., to the late Robert Henry Furr and Elizabeth Reynolds Furr. Patricia was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her sons, David McCann and wife, Dawn, of Blairs, Va., and Ray McCann and wife, Carolyn, of Pelham, N.C.; daughter, Carol Garner and husband, Keith, of Morehead City, N.C.; grandchildren, Kyle Carter of Blairs, Va., Ashley Carter of Rustburg, Va., Kevin Carter and wife, Brittany, of Lynchburg, Va., Robert McCann of Danville, Va., and Daimon McCann of Blairs, Va.; great-grandchildren, Landon McCann and Brooklyn McCann; and sister, Sandra Hoover and husband, Clarence, of Providence, N.C. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Robert Eugene McCann; son, Gerald Wayne McCann; and brothers, Richard and Frankie Furr. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at 7 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Oakes officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 until 7 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at her son David's residence, 1496 Hunters Lane, Blairs, Va.
