Death

Mr. Robert Eugene McCann, age 72 of 282 Forest Drive, Pelham, N.C., died at his residence Thursday, December 13, 2012 after a decline in health for the past six months. Mr. McCann was born on November 4, 1940 in Pittsylvania County, Va., a son of the late Lewis McCann and the late Sallie Booth McCann. He had lived most of his life in Caswell County. He was employed by International Paper Company in the Maintenance Department until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith. On June 2, 1962, he was married to Patricia Furr McCann, who survives. In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by four children, Ray McCann and wife, Carolyn, Carol Garner and husband, Keith, Wayne McCann and friend, Malinda Murray all of Pelham, N.C., David McCann and wife, Michelle of Dry Fork, Va., five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by two sisters, Clara Adkins, Ruth Hoover and one brother, Lewis McCann. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 16, 2012 from Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Reverend Tim Oakes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
