ALBEMARLE -- Mrs. Carrie Huneycutt Furr, 88, of 620 Heathwood Drive, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2001 at Stanly Memorial Chapel with burial in Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Gary Hunsucker will officiate. Mrs. Furr was born in Stanly County, NC, was a retired textile worker with Allison Manufacturing of Albemarle, and a member of Canton Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Horace K. Furr, Wayne C. Furr, Calvin L. Furr and Boyd H. Furr, all of Albemarle; daughters, Helen F. Hathcock of Norwood, NC, Ruby F. Rummage of Pleasant Garden, NC, Brenda F. Hill of Oakboro, NC and Evola F. Thompson or Norwood, NC; and brother, Raymond L. Huneycutt of Concord, NC. Memorials may be sent to Patient Activities Fund, Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center, 620 Heathwood Drive, Albemarle, NC 28001. Stanly Funeral Home, Inc. is serving the Furr family.
