Death
William Hubert Furr, 81, of Ridgewood Circle, a retired state Department of Education Vocational Rehabilitation Division supervisor, died of pneumonia Wednesday at the Willard F. Bond Home in Madison. Services are 9:30 a.m. Monday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson with burial in Wesson Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Furr, a Wesson native, was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving 20 years. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a masters degree in education at Mississippi State University. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: son, Hugh Furr of Jackson; daughter, Gayla Katsulis of Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, Lester Furr of Wesson and Carl Furr of Jackson; sister, Margaret Lee of Jackson; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
