Death
Services for ROBERT (BOB) FURR, 96, of Mabank, were held Oct. 29 at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Rev. Eston Williams and Glen Ballard officiating. Interment followed at Mankin Cemetery at Trinidad under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home. Mr. Furr was born Nov. 20, 1910 in Iowa Park and passed away Oct. 27, 2007 in Tyler. He was an engineer and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Previously of Dallas, he had resided in Mabank for the past 30 years and was a member of Aley United Methodist Church. Mr. Furr retired from the Southern Ice Company in 1973. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Furr. He is survived by his son, Donald Furr and wife Jeannie of Scotland, Ark.; two daughters, Mary Spears and husband Kenneth of Terrell and Betty Bowling and husband Larry of Gun Barrel City; a sister, Mary Hays of Provo, Utah; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
