Death
MABANK — Services for Syble Furr, 85, Mabank, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eubank Funeral Home’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Mankin Cemetery. Mrs. Furr died Sunday in Payne Springs. She was born April 21, 1909, in Omaha to the late James and Emma Vaught and lived in the Cedar Creek Lake area since 1982. She was a member of the Aley Methodist Church. Mrs. Furr was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Gene Furr. Survivors include her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Furr, Mabank; two daughters, Mary Spears, Terrell, and Betty Bowling, Gun Barrel City; one son, Donald Furr, Canton; 11 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Kenneth Spears, Bubba Garoutte, Chan Furr, Larry Bowling, Dwayne Weddell and Greg Phillips.Tyler Morning Telegraph, Tyler, Texas, April 18, 1995
