Death
Grace Furr Mejia, 82, of 150 Lee Circle, a retired school teacher, died of respiratory arrest Thursday at Methodist Medical Center. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Mejia, a Wesson native, had lived in Jackson 35 years. She taught school in Amite and Pike county schools. She was a member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include: husband, Daniel; sons, Danny Mejia of Denver and Charles Mejia of Portland, Ore.; daughters, Joy Woods and Martha Eddleman, both of Jackson; brothers, James N. Furr of Jackson and Charles Furr of Canton; sisters, Linda Blackmon of Jackson and Janelle Rushing of Morton; and seven grandchildren.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, March 17, 1991
