Death
Mrs. J. M. Furr, 81, of 723 Evergreen St., died at the St. Dominic hospital Wednesday morning after an extended illness. She was a native of Rankin County and had lived in Jackson for the past 19 years. She was the daughter of the late Jasper and Susan Martin Middleton. She was a member of the Griffith Memorial Baptist Church, and a former resident of Magnolia, Miss. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dan ( Grace) Mejia, Mrs. Reggie (Linda) Blackmon both of Jackson, Mrs. Woodrow (Janelle) Rushing of Morton, two sons James N. Furr of Jackson, Charles Ray Furr of Canton; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Kermit Canterbury officiating, assisted by Dr. Allen O. Webb, with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, July 6, 1967
