Death
Mrs. Lula Furr Ratcliff. 49. died Wednesday morning following a lengthy illness. She had lived in Jackson for 32 years and was a resident of Broad Street. Survivors include her husband Percy Ratcliff; two sons, Lt. Doug las Ratcliff, Korea, and George Ben Ratcliff, New Orleans; one brother, John E. Furr, DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and three sisters, Mrs. H. M.Dear, Star, Mrs. William B. Hamilton, Plain, and Mrs. Jack Holder, Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Friday from the Baldwin funeral chapel with Rev. S. W. Valentine of Southside Baptist church officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Donald Dear, Allen Ratcliff, Albert Ratcliff, Haley Dye, A. C. Dear, and James Minton.Published: Thursday, April 22 1954 -- Clarion-Ledger, pg 3
