Death

Mrs. Maggie Furr Houston, 308 N Church, McKinney, died 9 a.m. Sunday in Collin Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1883 in McKinney and spent her life here. She was the daughter of H.E.G. and Fannie B. Williams Furr. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was first organist in the present building and first to be married there when she became the wife of Dr. D. F. Houston Mar. 16, 1904. She is survived by one son, Franklin Houston of Dallas, three daughters, Mrs. Miriam H. White of McKinney, Mrs. W. V. Tillery of Carthage, Mrs. D. B. Faubion of Austin, six Grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Blanche Furr Hatcher of Raleigh NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday in Horn-Harris-Crouch chapel with Rev. Ed Hayes officiating. Interment was in Pecan Grove.
