Death
Henry B. Furr, 47, of Charlotte, died Thursday afternoon in a VA Hospital. in Columbia, S. C., after a long illness. He was the son of Albert A. Furr of Stanfield and is survived by his widow; the former Miss Hazel Draughty. Funeral services were held, Saturday at 4.p. m. at Love's Grove Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. J. L. Love. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his father, his wife, his step-mother, Mrs. Ida Bell Furr; five brothers, Coy and Roy of Stanfield, Albert, Jr., and Bobby of Concord, Johnny of Kannapolis; and five sisters, Mrs. Rose Bumgardener, Mrs. Ona Owens, and Mrs. Erma Gutheridge all of Kannapolis, Mrs. Roy J. Smith of Oakboro, and Mrs. Silas Jenkins of Locust.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, October 25, 1958
