Funeral services for Mr. Marion Francis Furr, who died suddenly last Wednesday morning at his home in Apalachicola, Fla., were held here today from the home of his brother-in-law, Dr. G. C. McCrary, Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. R. Cates, pastor of the Presbyterian church with Woodson Funeral Home directing. Interment in Pine Crest Cemetery. Mr. Furr was an employee of the Jerome H. Shiep Company for the past eight years. He was born in Wesson, Miss., 46 year ago. He was a member of the Willough R. Marks Post, American Legion of Apalachicola, having faithfully served his country during the World War across the seas. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Scott Furr; two daughters, Constance and Laura Jane; an aged mother, Mrs. L. J. Furr; five sisters, Mrs. J. L. Leggett of McComb, Miss; Mrs. S. Dulaney, Jackson, Miss.; Mrs. Tom Smith, Columbus, Miss.; and a sister in California, and other relatives.The South Alabamian, Jackson, Alabama, August 30, 1939
