Death
Mrs. Johnnie Myrtle Furr Leggett, 96, a former resident of McComb for 70 years, died Feb. 10, 1988, in Golden Years Retirement Home in Oxford, where she was a resident. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday in Catchings Funeral Home in McComb and will continue there at 8 a.m. Friday until services at 10 a.m. in Catchings chapel with the Rev. Richard Swayze officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Born Aug. 21, 1891, in Wesson, Mrs. Kesey was the daughter of Mr. and John Furr. The widow of William Allen Leggett, she was a homemaker and a member of J.J. White Memorial Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Leggett also was preceded in by a daughter, Juanita Leggett. Survivors include two grandchildren, Mrs. Maurice Inman of Oxford and Kenneth Bell of Columbus, Ohio; and five great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Enterprise-Journal, McComb, Mississippi, February 10, 1988
