Death
Mrs. Effie Tuttle Stanfield, 70, of 2374 Rosehaven, widow of Edwin Stanfield, died about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday at Baptist Hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Stanfield was formerly employed at Boggan’s Florists. She was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church for about 40 years, and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She leaves a brother, Gus Furr of the home address; and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Jones of Pontotoc, Miss.The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, March 30, 1972
Mrs. Effie Tuttle Stanfield, 70, who had lived with a nephew and her brother, Don and Gus Furr at 2374 Rosehaven, since the death of her second husband, Edwin Stanfield of Little Rock, resident of Little Rock from 1964-1970, Baptist Hospital last night, native of Hickory Valley, Miss., whose first husband, Frank Tuttle was a Memphis police photographer 20 years, before his death in 1954, long time member of Galloway Methodist Church and the Eastern Star, also survived by a sister, Mrs. Lucille Jones of Pontotoc, Miss. Memphis Funeral Home in charge.
