Death
Mrs. Lula Blanch Williams, widow of Horace Williams and former resident of Hickory Flat, Miss., and Tyler, Texas, and who moved to Memphis 18 years ago to make her home with her son, H. T. Williams, 373 Hollywood, died at 6 p.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital. In failing health for a year, Mrs. Williams was admitted to the hospital Saturday. She was 62. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Furr, she was born and reared in Hickory Flat and lived in Tyler a number of years before the death of her husband, when she returned to Hickory Flat and later came to Memphis. She was formerly active in Ebenezer Methodist Church at Hickory Flat and was a member of Galloway Methodist Church in Memphis. She also leaves two brothers, Gus Furr, Memphis, and R. L. Furr, Hickory Flat, and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Tuttle, Memphis, Mrs. Hester Wilder and Mrs. Lucille Jones, Pontotoc, Miss. and Mrs. Mary Shepard, Oklahoma City, City, Okla. Services at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Ebenezer Methodist Church near Hickory Flat, Rev. W. M. Tidwell officiating. Buria in the church cemetery.
