Death
Albert Troy Furr Sr. of Route 1, Baker died at 3:50 pm. Saturday at the Baton Rouge General hospital after an extended illness. He was 50 years old and an employee of the Esso Standard Oil company. A member of Istrouma F and AM, he came to Baton Rouge from Mississippi and had been a resident of this community since 1934. Furr is survived by his wife, the former Effie May Crews; two sons, A. T. Jr., and D. C.; his mother, Mrs. W. W. Furr of Union Church, Miss.; four brothers, R. C. of Kansas City, Mo.; O. D. of San Francisco, W. E. of San Francisco and T. L. of Mississippi; two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Lessing and Mrs.H. E. West of Union Church and two grandsons.The Zachary Plainsman-News, Zachary, Louisiana, March 5, 1950
