Death
Dorothy “Dot” Furr Ware, 86, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, after many years of battling chronic lung disease. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Calvary United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Gardens. She was born March 15, 1920, in Pineville, N.C., the daughter of the late Oliver I. and Daisy Cole Furr. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McEwen Funeral Home, 727 East Morehead St., Charlotte, N.C.
