Death
GREENSBORO Margaret Furr Keen, 93, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. She was born March 29, 1923, to Jackson and Hattie (Hatchel) Furr in Thomasville, North Carolina. Raised in High Point, she was a 1940 graduate of High Point High School. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, brother, spouses, and children Larry Norman Varner and Patricia Brennan Stotts. She is survived by a daughter Kathleen Brennan Culbreth (Bryan) and a son Barry Sidney Bennett (Elizabeth), eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, 501 Kirkland Street Greensboro, North Carolina 27406. Family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Memorials can be made to Rocky Knoll Baptist Church.
