Death
Isaac Purnell Furr, 82, of 1507 South Highland, retired Memphis Fire Department captain, died Monday at Eastwood Hospital after a short illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Shiloh Cemetery near Water Valley, Miss. He leaves his wife, Lelia C. Furr; two sons, Richard P. Furr of Little Rock and Sidney T. Furr of Memphis; a brother, Paul R. Furr of Memphis; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, July 22, 1987
