Death

Marian Lavern Furr, 86, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born December 1, 1931 in St. Louis, MO to Fred L. and Wilma Huber Steger. She graduated from College High school in Cape. She and James H. Furr were married October 21, 1950 at Egypt Mills, Missouri. He passed away September 19, 1982. Marian had worked for St. Francis Medical Center, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills. Survivors include a son, James A. (Tracy Griffaw) Furr of Cape Girardeau, MO; daughter, Jo Ann Furr of Jackson, MO; brother, Leroy (Gloria) Steger of Cape Girardeau, MO; two grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband one brother and one sister. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the church with Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills Building Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
