Death
Mrs. Fred L. Steger Mrs. Fred L. Steger, 76 years old, 1441 West Cape Rock Drive, died at 12:30 a.m. today, Jan. 24, 1984, in St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1907, at Egypt Mills, daughter of William and Ida Lange Huber. The former Miss Wilma R. Huber married Mr. Steger Sept. 2, 1928, at Egypt Mills. She was a lifetime Cape County resident, and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills. Surviving are her husband; sons, Leroy R. and Leo W. Steger, both of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Krieger, Cape Girardeau, and Mrs. Marian Furr, Egypt Mills; brothers, Paul and Roy Huber, both of Cape County; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers. The body is at the Brinkopf — Howell Funeral Home here, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Helmut Sylvester officiating. Burial will be in in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Egypt Mills.Southeast Missourian, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, January 24, 1984
