Death
ROLLING FORK — R.H.F. Lynch, 70, a city alderman and physician at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital, died of cancer Monday at his home. Services are 2 p.m. today at Rolling Fork First Baptist Church with burial in Mound Cemetery. Glenwood Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Dr. Lynch, a Delay native, had lived and worked in Marks and Glen Allan prior to moving to Rolling Fork 27 years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and University of Tennessee Medical School. He was a member of the Mississippi Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He was a member of Rolling Fork First Baptist Church. He was a World War ll and Korean War veteran. Dr. Lynch was a Rolling Fork alderman for 17 years. He was chief of staff at the hospital and director of medical services at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Dr. Lynch decided early in life to become a physician, friends think, because his uncle was one. “His mother passed away when he was 6 years old,” said Dr. Lynch's sister-in-law, Lelia Lynch of Marks. He was raised by an uncle and aunt. “Henry admired his uncle so much,” she said. Dr. Lynch’s hobbies including cooking, traveling and collecting antiques. “He was just an all around good person,” said Sharkey County Coroner June Bowering. “He was gentle and sweet,” his sister-in-law said. “He was especially good and fond and loving of his three children.” Other survivors include: wife, Frances; sons, Brooks Lynch of Carthage and Marshall Lynch of Gulf- port; daughter, Chris Uzzle of Rolling Fork; stepdaughters, Linda Caldwell of Oxford and Wanda Anglin of Horn Lake; brother, M.B.
