Death
Visitation for James Edward Furr Jr., 65, of 1830 Young Road, Clarksdale, who died Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, of heart failure at Methodist Central in Memphis, Tenn., is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. today at National Funeral Home. Mr. Furr, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 11, 1930. He was a graduate of Clarksdale High School and Mississippi State University. He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Young Furr of Clarksdale; one daughter, Kathy Olsen of West Lake Village, Calif.; one son, James E. Furr III, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one sister, Ivy Rainey of Greenville, S.C.; and two grandchildren.
