WINSTON-SALEM — Mr. Richard Wayne Furr, Sr., 65, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November, 18, at Green Street Baptist Church in High Point. Private burial will be at the National Cemetery in Salisbury.Published in the News Record on 11/17/2007.
WINSTON-SALEM — Richard Wayne Furr Sr., 65, of Winston-Salem, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was a retired letter carrier from the United States Post Office, Waughtown Station, Winston-Salem. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Green Street Baptist CHurch in High Point with Dr. Robert Steele and the Rev. Rodney Smith officiating. Private burial will be held at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Missions Fund of Green Street Baptist Church, 303 North Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262 or the Gideon Bible Fund, 502 Brookdale Drive, Thomasville, N.C. 27360.
