Death
LANDIS — Bryan Theodore Furr, 88, 1102 Highland Ave., died Thursday (May 13, 1999) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord. Born June 9, 1910, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Jacob Mathias and Dolly Winecoff Furr. Retired as owner/operator of Furr’s Barber Shop, China Grove, he was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church, Kannapolis. His wife, Ruby Osborne Furr, preceded him in death. Survivors include son James C. Furr, Landis; and a grandson. Services: Graveside, 3 p.m. Sunday, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Leon Hawks. Visitation: 2-2:45 p.m. Sunday, Lady’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis. At other times the family will be at the home on Highland Avenue.
