Death

WEST END — Samuel Lee Furr, 41, died Tuesday in a hospital at Elkins, W. Va. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at West End Methodist Church, where he had been a member, with the Rev. Harold Pickett officiating. Burial will be in West End Cemetery. He was a painter. Surviving are sons, Anthony Lee, Larry C. and Gregg Furr of West End, Richard Furr of Hamlet; daughters, Miss Gala Furr of West End, Mrs. Donnie K. Dupree of Highfalls; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Furr of West End; brothers, Billy Furr of Pinebluff, Jerry Furr of Newport News, Va., Donnie Furr of Fort Bragg; sisters, Mrs. Doris Craven of Burlington, Mrs. Patricia Blackman of Aberdeen. The family will be at McKeithan Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.
