KANNAPOLIS — Paul Worth Furr, 68, 8750 Dogwood Drive, died Tuesday (Nov 9, 1993), at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, after a serious illness of five weeks. Born Sept 2, 1925, in Mecklenburg County, Furr was a son of the late Allison Weaver and Nettie Keziah Furr. A retired carpenter, he was an avid bluegrass musician. A lifetime resident of the area, he was a US Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include sons Paul Worth Furr Jr., Winston-Salem, and Jimmy and David Furr, both of China Grove, daughters Connie Gee, Patricia Sellers and Linda Hopson all of Kannapolis, Evan Nettles, Lenoir, Rhonda Kirby, Duncan, S.C. and Lorrie Lambert, Concord, sisters Louise McAbee, Kannapolis,and Carolyn Taylor, Salisbury, brother AW Furr, Atlanta, Ga., 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services: 2 pm Thursday. Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Johnny Cook. Burial in Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation:7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home, the rest of the time the family will be at the home of daughter Connie Gee, 7125 Unity Church Road, Kannapolis.Military
