Death

ELDORADO — Fred Lee Furr, 80, of Eldorado, died at 7 p.m. Saturday April 2, 1983 at Schleicher County Medical Center. Graveside services will be Monday April 4, 1983 at 2 p.m. at Eldorado Cemetery with Rev. Clive Johnston of First Baptist Church in Eldorado officiating, under the direction of Kerbow Funeral Home. Mr. Furr was born Aug. 9, 1902 in Del Rio. He married Edna Duncan at Calf Creek Dec. 17, 1920. He moved to Eldorado from Baytown in 1944, where he was a car dealer. In 1960 he moved to Buchannan where he owned and operated Furr’s Lodge. He returned to Eldorado on retirement in 1980. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Eldorado; one daughter Donnie Danford of Eldorado; one son, O. L. Furr of Bertram; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death, Freddie Fae. Family request that memorials be sent to Schleicher County Medical Center, or the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers will be Bill Williams, George Williams, Alvin Farris all of Eldorado, Lonnie B. Smith of Burnett, Leonard Wilson, and L.L. Kinser both of San Angelo.
