Death
John Wilson Furr, 67, of 3318 N. Alexander St. died yesterday at home. He was born in Cabarrus County, Feb. 6, 1893, son of the late John W. and Tiny Barbee Furr. He was a member of the Chapel of Hope Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the Chapel of Hope Episcopal Church. The Rev. George N. Forzly, associate pastor of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie Wallace Furr: two daughters, Mrs. James B. Smith of Davidson, and Mrs. Mabel Nichelson of Charlotte: a sister, Mrs. C. L. Sisk of Charlotte; a brother, Everett C. Jones of Charlotte; a stepsister, Mrs. Wiley Sanders of Charlotte; a stepbrother, Avery Jones of Dorby, Pa.; five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, November 12, 1960
