Death

HARRISBURG — Mabel Justice Nicholson, 86, of Harrisburg, formerly of Stallings, died on September 28, 2002 at NorthEast Medical Center. Mabel was born on September 25, 1916, daughter of the late John and Willie Wallace Furr. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel with The Reverend Edward L. Plercy officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00-9:00 p.m. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, Betty Justice Nicholson and husband Herman of Midland, Marion Justice of Kernersville, NC, Harold Justice and wife Evelyn of Charlotte, and Jack Justice and wife Lee of Mooresville, NC; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Flossie Mae Furr, and Ernma Smith; and two grandchildren, Chip and Jill Justice. The family would like to express thanks to Carolina Assisted Living for the care that she received from everyone there. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 1229 Greenood Cliff, Ste. 109, Charlotte, NC 28204.
