Death
Funeral services for John R. Furr, 69, of Irving, formerly of McKinney, who died Sunday at his residence, were held earlier today in Donnelly’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Walt Clayton officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Memorial Garden with Donnelly Funeral Home of Irving in charge of the arrangements. Furr was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Rhea’s Mill. He was employed by Johnson Chevrolet in Dallas as a mechanic for 35 years. He retired in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Anne Furr of Irving; two sons, David Furr of Arkansas, Doyle Furr of Dallas; two granddaughters, Amanda Furr and Cede Furr, both of Arkansas; and niece, Barbara Moore of McKinney.
