Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane (Mamie) Furr, 88, who died Thursday in a McKinney hospital, will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Clyde Grimes and Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery. She was born Aug. 22, 1892 in Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William O'Neal. She was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church. She was married Dec. 13, 1916 in McKinney to John A. Furr. Survivors include one son, John Raymond Furr of Irving; two grandsons, Doyle Furr of Dallas, David Furr of Arkansas; one granddaughter, Mrs. Billy (Barbara) Moore of McKinney; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Emmett O'Neal of McKinney; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Spurgin of McKinney; several nieces and nephews.
