Death
BROOKHAVEN — Services for George Washington Furr, 80-year old Lincoln county resident, will be held Monday from Hartman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery. Mr. Furr, who had been an invalid for ten years, died at his residence in the Mission Hill community Sunday morning. He was a native of this county, a farmer and a member Little Bahala Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta Girault Furr, a brother, W. H. Furr, Mission Hill, three sons, Victor and Walter Furr, Mission Hill, and John Furr, Long Beach.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, July 5, 1954
